   BCAR Conversion

The CAA is required to issue, before 30th September 2006, a Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance Licence to all holders of protected rights. Unless the Section L licence held provides full equivalence, the Part-66 licence issued in this circumstance will not equate to the full Part-66 standard. Many licence holders will have technical limitations placed on their licence as a result of these differences. Passing the appropriate conversion exams can lift these limitations.

Your conversion exam requirements may be for full or part modules, depending on your LWTRs and any other authorisation that can be taken into account. The following matrix provides guidance as to what modules may be required, but you should always confirm this and your exam requirements with the CAA before embarking on any conversion programme.
